History
Mr. Kenneth Westort and Mr. Douglas Robinson founded Optical Products Development Corporation as a Delaware Corporation in 1996. The original focus of the Company was to manufacture large precision optical components for the Flight Simulation Industry. Optics were manufactured for both the Toshiba Search and Rescue Simulator as well as the US A10(Warthog) Flight Simulator. Started as a “garage-shop” operation, OPD developed its intellectual property base both in design and optics manufacture, plus product offerings associated with its core business. As the technology advanced, OPD found unique opportunities in designing and manufacturing 3D Visual Display Systems for gaming and point-of- purchase applications. |
