OPD - Company

Mr. Westort co-founded the Company and has served as President, CEO and Chairman of the Board since the Company's origin in November 1996. From 1965 to 1987, Mr. Westort served as Senior Optical Engineer, Optical Fabrication Manager, Director of Manufacturing Operations, Division Manager, VP of Operations and Technology Director for two large military and aerospace companies. From 1987 to 1995, Mr. Westort served as VP and Partner of a privately owned Thin Film Optical Coating Company and from 1995 to 1996 served as VP of Operations for a company involved in 3D applications. Mr. Westort's experience also includes new business startup activities and technology-oriented business ventures in the U.S. and Europe . Mr. Westort has also published numerous papers for the Optical Society of America and the Society of Photographic and Illumination Engineers, involving the design and manufacture of optics and optical systems. Mr. Westort earned an AS & BSME degree in Mechanical Engineering ( Western New England College ) and a MBA ( Western New England College ) in Business Management. Mr. Westort also studied in the field of optics at the University of Southern California (UCLA) and the University of Rochester (U of R).

Mr. Robinson co-founded the Company and has served as VP of Manufacturing, Secretary, Director and now as VP of Engineering. From 1973 to 1977, Mr. Robinson served as Field Engineer and Manager of Technical Training and Support of American Optical Corporation, a manufacturer and supplier of ophthalmic lenses. During this period, Mr. Robinson was responsible for establishing a high volume manufacturing facility in Europe . From 1977 to 1986 he served as innovator, developer, and President of Heartwood Studios, a self-owned “3D” sculpting business. From 1986 to 1996, he functioned as Optical Process Engineer, Sales Application and Optical Consultant. Mr. Robinson attended Bryant College where he studied engineering and marketing and is a Certified Licensed Optician.

Mr. Wu has over 25 years of technical and managerial experience in the fields of energy, electronics, biotechnology and engineering physics. His business experience also involves many areas including scientific research, strategic planning, manufacturing and market development both domestically and internationally. Mr. Wu received his Doctoral in Engineering Physics from the University of California . He is currently a principal partner of the PEAT International, Inc.; a Chicago based energy project developer. Mr. Wu is the co-founder and a director to DAE Technology AG of Zurich Switzerland (DAE) and American Automation Power Corp. of California (AAP), both electronic equipment manufacturers.
